Hectic-ness and Brain Crackings

Feb 16 and 18 was so hectic for me, all because I had to come up with multiple designs for BandWidth Magazine's upcoming merchandises. Nonetheless, I managed to finish almost everything up and here's what I've done up.

Run KK - Kozae feat Ali Terbang, Kudique, Phatbrown & Hassan KTM

Finally, some real hip hop by Sabahans. 'Run KK', performed by Kozae feat Ali Terbang, Kudique, Phatbrown & Hassan KT. Their lyrics and rhyme is the best ever! I just hope that they would continue to grow and create back a hip hop scene in Kota Kinabalu.

Beverly Rachel - A Fresh Talent who reminds me of Missy Higgins

This is Beverly Rachel, she writes songs and plays the piano pretty good.

Open Mic Night Kinabalu

Finally something you musicians long for since Kota Kinabalu is drying up with relevant events, relevant to musicians that is. The OPEN MIC NIGHT KINABALU is purely meant for this.

Promised to be one of Kota Kinabalu's regular event (at least we hope it would be), we're looking for singers/songwriters/musicians to show their stuff on an open stage.

Make sure your musically-gifted friends sign up for OPEN MIC NIGHT KINABALU and come cheer them on and listen to other great music.

If you wanna get yourself listed on the night, you can sign up at 6:30pm, 18th February 2012, Chingu Cafe & Bar, The Waterfront. It's right behind BED Club and is facing the seafront. Musicians must bring their own instruments. PA System supplied at the event.

If you're not musically gifted, but love music, then show your support and bring more friends that night.

❖ REMEMBER FOLKS ❖
18th February 2012 (Saturday), 7pm start.
Free Admission, but if you're sitting down at the Cafe/Bar, the courtesy of ordering something to drink or eat applies :)

Because this is the first OPEN MIC NIGHT KINABALU, we've invited some notable singers/musicians from all over Sabah to perform a few songs on the night including:

LEO (EIZWAN) - of D'Carnival, Playful Act fame
JADE SISTERS - Sabah's harmonically awesome sisters
RENE BARROW - a well known Jazz singer
ELOISE LAU - Kota Kinabalu's young starlet on a guitar
STEPHEN LEE - One of Kota Kinabalu's great guitar player
RIDAH & RICHADO - Two of Sabah's grooviest talent
LESTER - of Andalusia, D'Karnival fame
BOB & MANDY NIKKO - a duo from the group Orkes Akiuku playing the Ukulele

Hope to see you there :)

Note: We're aiming at making this one as similar as possible to how they do it in the States, UK and Australia

Pink Roses Cake Website Update

I just spent 3 hours plus updating http://www.pinkrosescake.com/ this afternoon and it wasn't pretty. It was straight after doing up the Open Mic Night Kinabalu's online promotions. But the turn out in the end wasn't all that bad for Pink Roses Cake's website. Go check the website out.
